David was born in
Sea Girt and was a lifelong resident of
Wall
Township
. He was a World War II veteran of the United States Coast
Guard stationed on the USS General Gordon. David was a
mechanic for New Jersey Natural Gas for 36 years retiring in 1989.
Upon his retirement he and his wife Ethel loved to go camping in a
RV. They then became
Florida
snowbirds while maintaining their primary residence in Wall.
David loved to tend to his garden, growing flowers and vegetables.
David and his wife enjoyed canning the vegetables. He was a
member of the Belmar VFW Post 2620.
David is survived
by his wife of 60 years, Ethel Kelty Trail, a son David and his wife
DiAnne of Hamilton, NJ and their three children Christopher, Ryan
and Robert. He is also survived by a brother Robert Trail of
Brick and a sister Marie Pohero of
Rahway
; and several nieces and nephews.

Knudson, 83 of Brick passed away Wednesday at Deborah Heart and
Lung

, Browns Mill.
Jeannette was a
homemaker, and an avid reader. She enjoyed cooking for her family as
well as spending time with them. Jeannette was born and raised
in
Harrison
and moved to Brick 22 years ago. While in Harrison, Jeanette
and her husband were involved with the Spirit of 76 Democratic Club
in
East Newark
.
Jeanette was
predeceased by her husband of 50 years, William T. Knudson in 1994,
triplet daughters who died at birth in 1948,two brothers Edward and
Bernard “Steve” Komoniewski and two nephews Steve and Thomas
Komoniewski. Jeanette is survived by two sons and a
daughter-in-law, Bill and Judith Knudson of Brielle and Ken Knudson
of Brick. She is also survived by two brothers and two
sisters-in-law, Joseph and Ann Komoniewski of Pompano Beach, Fl and
Henry and Dolores Komoniewski of Belford NJ; a sister Alice
Komoniewski of Harrison, NJ; a granddaughter Noel; three great
grandchildren Jayde, Ariana and Jonas;two nieces Sharon and Linda
Komoniewski;two nephews Joseph and Steven Komoniewski; several other
nieces, nephews and cousins.

Wednesday at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune with
her family by her side.
Ann was born and

when she was very young. Ann was a teacher’s aide at the

for over 25 years. Ann was involved with many activities at
the Lion’s Head North Clubhouse. She enjoyed doing crossword
puzzles, read, trips to

, and was an avid Bingo player.
Ann was predeceased by

Alfred and Louis Ardito and her Aunt Irene Cenar. She is
survived by her husband of 52 years Charles Petruzzi of Brick, two

Maria
“Nonna” Storzieri, 74 of Neptune passed away Monday,
November 3rd. at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune.
Maria
was born and raised in Italy. She came to the United States in
1964. Maria and her family first lived in North Carolina and
then moved to Neptune, New Jersey in 1965. Maria was a
seamstress and worked on bridal dresses for Elegant Alternative for
many years before the company out of the area. She loved to
work in the garden, and also to play bingo. Maria also loved
to spend time with her family especially her grandchildren Amanda
and Tiffany. Maria accepted everyone as they were and treated
them as her own. That is why she was affectionately known as
“Nonna” to everyone.
Maria
is survived by her husband of 49 years Michael Storzieri of Neptune,
a daughter Sandy Bailoni of Neptune and her children Amanda and
Tiffany and a son Anthony “Tony” Storzieri of Lambertville, NJ.
She is also survived by a sister Pina Bevilacqua of Italy, and
several nieces and nephews.

Robert H. Bossett, 87, of Brielle, died
peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family on Friday, October
31.
He was born in Irvington. He
summered at the shore and eventually moved to Spring Lake,
where his father owned The Village Barn, now known as Doolan’s. He
graduated from Manasquan High School where he excelled in football
and baseball. His junior year, MHS won its first Shore
Conference Championship in baseball. He was a captain on both
teams his senior year and in football played in the first All Star
Football game matching Group II players against Group I players.
During his summers, he worked at Kingies Pavilion in Manasquan,
first renting rafts and then as a lifeguard. He was on the beach in
Sea Girt when several lifeboats from the Morro Castle landed there.
He attended Clemson and Indiana Universities and graduated from
Purdue University as part of the V12 program of WWII. He met his
sweetheart of over 60 years, “Janie”, there. At Purdue, he
played half back on their last unbeaten football team when they
finished ranked 5th in the nation. He was offered a tryout by
the Cleveland Rams. He was a Marine Corp veteran, serving in an
anti-aircraft battalion on the Islands of Guam, Johnston and Pelilu.
After the war, he became an educator and coach. In his first
coaching position at Pennsauken High School, his basketball team won
the South Jersey Freshman Championship. He particularly
enjoyed teaching in the Lakehurst school system as it allowed him to
pursue his love of history at Lakehurst Naval Air Station. He also
taught and coached at Sayreville and Roselle High Schools. At
Roselle, he coached Roosevelt Grier, a future star player
with the New York Giants. He eventually finished his career in
Matawan as an Industrial Arts teacher of woodworking. He
enjoyed working on wooden boat projects and making wooden toys for
his grandchildren. He was a member of the Spring Lake American
Legion and a life member of the Manasquan River Yacht Club. He
took great pride in winning many events in his sailboat,
“Bodacious”, often with a young crew of his grandchildren and
friends aboard. His hobbies also included fishing and pursuing his
passion for local history and lore.
Robert was predeceased by his
parents, Henry and Ellen, and his beloved wife, Jane, in August.
Surviving are his children and their spouses, Patricia and Robert
Summers of Brielle, and Henry and Margaret Bossett of Sea Girt; four
beloved grandchildren, Frank Helies Jr. and his wife Kellen, of
South Carolina, Nathan Bossett, of San Francisco, Evan Bossett and
his wife Amy, of Howell, Julia Gargano and her husband Michael
of Connecticut; his cherished great grandson Daniel Bossett, four
nieces, one nephew and his devoted caregiver, Tami.
Friends and relatives may gather at
6pm, Tuesday for visitation followed at 8pm by a Catholic memorial
service at Orender Family Home for Funerals, 2643 Old Bridge Road,
Manasquan.

Devine, age 44 of Jackson passed away on Thursday October 23 at
Kimble Medical Center in Lakewood.
Karin
was born in Annsbach, Germany and formerly lived in Eatontown before
moving to Jackson. Karin enjoyed spending time with her three
children, loved music and was a former flag twirler at Monmouth
Regional H.S.

leaves behind three beloved children, Sean, Colleen and Allison and
their father John Devine all of Brielle. She is survived by her
parents Theodore and Hilde Erickson of Beaver, West Virginia, two

United States

caring person, who put others’ needs before his own.
John served in the Marine Corps during the Vietnam Era.
He was an avid runner, completing both the
Boston
and New York Marathons. John
also loved working on cars, and was passionate about his Oldsmobile
442. He owned and
operated his own pool service company, Rumson Pool and Spa, and also
worked in construction.
Surviving
are his loving son John the III, Maryann Krug, devoted friend and
mother of John the III, his sister Maryann Strum of Monson,
Massachusetts, his brother Peter and sister-in-law Mary both of
Neptune, New Jersey, as well as nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his father John in 1970, his mother
Jessie in 1997, and his brother Michael in 1993.

Anne Smith Frank, age 42 of

passed away on Friday August 29 surrounded by her entire
family.
The
world will definitely be a much sadder place without her because
Cathy was truly an angel right here on earth. Anyone who was
privileged to know her will attest to that fact. She was
always happy very friendly and in a good mood. Cathy was the
most sincere gentle, caring, giving, and loving lady God ever
created. Cathy could literally light up a room with her warmth
and that oh so beautiful, beautiful smile. Her loss is
absolutely incalculable. Cathy was a trophy wife and a homemaker who

Marie LaForte,
age 82 of Bradley Beach passed away Sunday August 17 with her
family by her side.
Marie was born in
Manhattan
. Marie lived in NYC for 75 years before moving to
Bradley Beach in 2001. She was a communicant of Church of the
Ascension, Bradley Beach. Marie was a very religious woman.
She was deeply devoted to her husband, daughter, son-in-law and
grandchildren and loved her friends.

predeceased by her parents Vincenzo and Vincenza Pucciarelli and a
son Joseph LaForte Jr. She is survived by her husband of 65
years Joseph LaForte Sr of Bradley Beach, a daughter and son-in-law,

Meeker Glasby, age 98 of Brielle passed away Saturday August 16
at Care One at Wall.
Virginia
was born in East Orange and raised in Orange. She summered on Shark
River as a child at the home of her grandfather and then in
Mantoloking when her father built a home there. Virginia moved
from Short Hills to Brielle in 1986. She was a member of All
Saints Episcopal Church, Bay Head. There she participated in
the Altar Guild. Virginia was also a member of the Bayberry
Garden Club of Brielle. She loved ocean swimming and walking
the boardwalk and continued to do so into her 80’s.
Virginia
was predeceased by her husband Frederick L. Glasby, her parents
Herbert J. and Pearl Meeker and a sister Doris Meeker. She is

Stella
Wojton, age 88 of Manasquan, passed away Saturday, August 16th
at home with her family close by her side.
Born
and raised in Elizabeth, where she lived for 68 years, Stella
returned to school and earned her diploma all while caring for and
nurturing her family. She was employed as Chief Clerk at Elizabeth
City Hal! where she remained for almost 30 years. While living in
Elizabeth, Stella was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church and
was President of their Rosary Attar Society. After moving to
Manasquan in 1988, she became a communicant of St. Denis Church as
well as a member of the St. Denis Seniors and the Senior Citizens of
Manasquan. As an avid Jets fan, Stella proudly donned her green and
white and eagerly cheered for her team. Although she loved her
sports and trips to Atlantic City, her family was always her number
one priority... especially her grandchildren and great
grandchildren. Stella was truly the matriarch of her family and
became overwhelmed with joy and pride when everyone gathered
together
Stella
was predeceased by her husband of 57 years,, Walter
"Whitey" Wojton, her brother Stanley Rogowski and her
sister Mary Ann Rogowski. She is survived by her two daughters and
her son-in-law, Jo Ann Korb and Frances and Robert Gorski; her
sister, Ann Laskowski; her four grandchildren and their spouses,
Jenny and Paul Greenjack, Missy and Pete Snyder, Valerie and CJ
McCourt and Douglas and Erika Korb; her four great grandchildren,
Nicky, Mary, Anna and Stella; and her true lifelong friend, Stanley
"Bura" Boruszkowski.

Margaret
Carolyn Taylor (nee Peluso) age 70 passed away
peacefully at her home Sunday August 10 with her family
by her side.
She
was born in Neptune and raised in Asbury Park.
Margaret attended Mount Carmel School and graduated from
Asbury Park High School. He also attended Monmouth
University and studied acting under Stella Ader.
Margaret traveled to England in 1964 where she met and
married Michael J. Taylor in 1965. They returned
to the U.S. and settled in the shore area where they
raised 2 children, Michael and Miranda. Margaret
retired from Fort Monmouth in 2005 where she was an
administrative assist in the Department of Acquisitions.
Upon her retirement she settled in Sea Bright.
Margaret traveled extensively in these last years.
Margaret was a gifted actress and director who worked
with Monmouth Players, Pinetree Players and co-founder
of the Harlequin Players. She was a talented
artist, painting portraits and abstracts, and working in
photography.
Margaret
was predeceased by her parents Salvatore and Columbia
Peluso. Margaret is survived by her husband
Michael J. Taylor, a son and his wife Michael E and
Grace Scarle-Taylor and a daughter Miranda Taylor and
her fiancé Jeffrey Schroeck, and a brother Anthony
Peluso.
A
memorial service will be held at Calvary Baptist Church,
Belmar on Friday August 15, at 11 am. Interment

was and Army Air Force veteran of WWII and attained the
rank of Staff Sergeant.
John worked for many years at the Foodarama in
Freehold as an assistant personnel director.
He was an avid golfer who accomplished 2 holes in
one. The
first was 150 yards and the second was 184yards.

. John had
very strong faith and he believed his strength came from
his belief in God and religion.

Cardinale was born in

and raised in

before moving to the shore area. Mr. Cardinale was
a longtime resident of
Spring
Lake
before moving to Manasquan. He graduated from
Seton Hall with a B.S. Mr. Cardinale was an army
veteran of the Korean War. He was a Fuller Brush
salesman before becoming an insurance agent for Allstate
retiring after 30 years. Mr. Cardinale was a
member of the Knights of Columbus, and a volunteer
fireman of
Spring
Lake
Heights
. He also was an umpire for Spring Lake Heights
Little League, and a referee for
Spring
Lake
Heights
soccer program. Upon his retirement, Mr. Cardinale
ventured into owning several trotter race horses, which
he enjoyed thoroughly.
He
was predeceased by his first wife Dolores Cardinal in
1966. He is survived by three sons Bill Cardinal
of Shark River Hills, John Cardinal and his wife Viola
of Point Pleasant, and Chris Cardinal of Hoboken; two
daughters Cheryl Bois and her husband Scott of N.Y.,
N.Y. and Gayle Cardinal of North Brunswick; a brother

with a BS in Business Administration and Economics.
Jack was the past president of Spring Lake Heights
Little League, and life member of Spring Lake Heights
Fire Company #1. He was an insurance agent with
the Fireman’s Fund Insurance, and other various
insurance companies during his career in insurance
sales. He also worked for Air Cruisers, Wall, as
the manager of the OSHA program.
Jack
is survived by his wife Carmen Allen of Brick, two sons

and an active member of the Spring Lake Heights Fire Department for
36 years. He enjoyed spending time with his wife sitting on
the porch of his house and trips to Wildwood, NJ. Through all
of his illness it was his grandchildren who inspired him to keep
going.

Gifford Norcross, two brothers Robert J. and Frank Norcross, a
sister Merle Greene and a great granddaughter Alysha Grace Griner.
